The deadline is July 19 for nominations for the NAMA Professional Development (PDA) Awards.
The Professional Development Awards of Excellence honor NAMA members based on outstanding achievement in each of the Professional Development Areas (PDA). Awards of Excellence will be presented in the areas of (1) Marketing Communications, (2) Product/Species Management, (3) Public Relations and (4) Sales.
The deadline for submitting nominations for the Professional Development Awards of Excellence is July 19, 2019. These awards will be presented at the 2019 Fall Conference, October 7-9 in St. Louis.
Nominees for the Awards of Excellence must be NAMA members. Nominators should target individuals with direct planning and execution responsibilities in the respective Professional Development Area from agribusiness and related companies. MoKan NAMA is heading to Blade & Timber. This summer networking & ax throwing event takes place Thursday, July 25 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. in Kansas City. The cost for professionals is $30. Students and interns attend free with a member. Potential After Party at The Ship.

The North Central NAMA Chapter hosted their annual intern
event this June in Minneapolis. Forty students and hiring managers gathered at
the 508 Club to discuss success stories of local interns and internships, along
with networking after the event to connect young talent with local agencies and
in-house marketing teams.
A panel of three successful young adults shared with the
crowd their successes, all three individuals had been hired on full time
immediately following their internship. The North Central NAMA Chapter thanks
Midwest Dairy, Minnesota Pork, Minnesota Beef Council, PERISCOPE agency and .broadhead
agency for their sponsorship of this event!

Dr. Michael Gunderson, Professor and Director at the Purdue Center for Food and Agricultural Business, will present key findings from the recently released 2017 Ag Census and explain how they will impact agri-marketers. Dr. Gunderson will highlight key data and trends in both the crop and livestock sectors.
