The 2006 trade show kicked off with the NAFB Welcome Lounge on Wednesday, April 19. During the welcome lounge, attendees visiting the trade show could drop their name in a box for an iPod drawing. Three iPod’s were given away at the Trade Show.

An Italian lunch hosted by Farm World Newspaper was held in the Trade Show on Thursday, April 20. During the luncheon, several professionals were able to take time and visit with students in the mentor luncheon. Other attendees took time to stroll through the booths and sign up for another chance to win an iPod.

Trade ShowThe closing reception hosted by PaperChain and the MoKan NAMA Chapter, got attendees jazzed up with a special performance by the World Famous Kansas City Marching Cobra’s. In addition to the beat of the drums, attendees were able to make their final bids on items in the Silent Auction and register for one last chance at an iPod.

During the Connection Point closing the winner of the ABEF Student Raffle, the Membership Promotion and the iPods were announced. Winning the Dell 37″ High Def LCD TV (courtesy of Prism Business Media) from the Student Raffle was Tim Steinbeck, Modern Litho Printing and winning the video iPod (courtesy of ZimmComm New Media, LLC and ADM) for the Membership Promotion was Krystil Smit, South Dakota Corn Utilization Council/Growers Association.
