Nearly 100 people joined together for a luncheon sponsored by Southeast AgNet and the NAMA Florida Chapter in West Palm Beach, Florida on Wednesday, July 23, 2008. The luncheon was held in conjunction with the Florida Fertilizer & Agrichemical Association’s (FFAA) 76th Annual Meeting. Dave Herndon, Southeast AgNet and a former president of FFAA, acted as Emcee during the luncheon.

Following a scrumptious luncheon, Debbie Brummel with National NAMA, provided an overview of NAMA and pointed out some of the similar goals between the two associations. Chuck Zimmerman, ZimmComm New Media, LLC, followed with a demonstration of Web 2.0. This included several sites, including the NAMA website, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.

The key purpose of the luncheon was to acquaint members and non-members with NAMA and the Florida NAMA chapter is looking at having this an annual meeting/event at the FFAA conference.
