Florida NAMA Hosts Luncheon with FFAA Members
The Florida Chapter of NAMA and Southeast AgNet hosted their 3rd annual luncheon in conjunction with the Florida Fertilizer & Agrichemical Association’s (FFAA) summer meeting on Wednesday, July 22.
Nearly 100 people attended the luncheon meeting. Following opening remarks by Gary Cooper, Southeast AgNet and Florida chapter president, Debbie Brummel, NAMA staff, and four students from the University of Florida, also spoke to attendees. The students were part of the marketing team that took 1st place in 2008 and 2009 at NAMA’s Student Marketing Competition held during the annual Agri-Marketing Conference. The students discussed their preparation for and involvement in the NAMA competition and how they have benefited from the experience. The students strongly encouraged luncheon attendees to invest in the future of agriculture by joining NAMA.
