Securing the Future of Animal Agriculture:  Connect, Engage, Protect

The animal agriculture industry faces threats every day from extreme animal rights and environmental activist groups who are completely opposed to humans using animals for food, fiber, entertainment or any purpose. If you work with clients in the animal agriculture industry, it is critical for you to understand the goals, tactics and strategies these organizations employ.

Hannah Thompson-Weeman, Vice President of Communications with the Animal Agriculture Alliance, will share an overview of the animal rights movement and trends to be aware of.  She’ll also offer information on how the Animal Agriculture Alliance is working to address these reputation threats, and what participants themselves can do to use social media and other tools to bridge the communication gap between farm and fork.

When: Thursday, May 18, 2017

Time: 2:00 p.m. (Central)

Cost: $40 for members and $50 for non-members
