More and more dairy farms are installing robotic milking systems every day.  Learn the why and how of these systems – and see them firsthand – on this Badger NAMA study tour.

Join the Badger NAMA Chapter on Wednesday, June 14.

11:30 a.m. | Enjoy lunch at Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse (8390 Market St., Middleton, Wis.) followed by guest speakers who will teach about the logistics and financial considerations that come with this technology.

1:30 p.m. | Carpool to Laufenberg Farms (10-minute drive to 6988 Meffert Rd., Waunakee, Wis.) to see the farm’s DeLaval robotic milkers in action.  Luke Laufenberg will give a tour and explain why his dad and uncle, Dave and Fred Laufenberg, decided to install robots on the farm.  You will also have a chance to see and learn about the farm’s automated calf feeders.
