Midsouth September Chapter Meeting

Have you ever wondered if the MidSouth could become the “Silicon Valley” of agriculture? What would it take to make that happen?

At the September meeting, Pete Nelson, President of AgLaunch, will share a Regional Strategy created in collaboration with a nationally acclaimed consulting firm, KK&P, that could lead to that distinction in the future. The AgLaunch Regional Strategy is focused on transforming the MidSouth ag and food economy through innovation, investment, collaboration, sustainability and equality.

As a component of the Regional Strategy, Pete will highlight a new approach to the AgLaunch farm-centric innovation model called, AgLaunch365. This approach gives agtech startups the ability to receive support and assistance at multiple entry points throughout the year and matches the agricultural crop cycle to effectively utilize a farm-centric model.

Pete Nelson has a 20+ year career in the agriculture sector. As President of AgLaunch, he leads the drive to support the development and growth of agtech and value-chain startups, build a network of innovative farmers and coordinate the efforts to address gaps in the ag and food innovation ecosystem in the MidSouth region.
