Mark your calendars for an upcoming chapter event near you!

If you have any write-ups or photos from your previous events, please send the information to Kathi Conrad at [email protected] to get it in the NAMA e-News.

Southeastern NAMA ~ September 23
Join Southeastern NAMA at 5:30 p.m. on September 23 for the first annual Show and Tell at Freebairn & Company. Sounds a little ridiculous, but this is what NAMA is all about, sharing successful marketing stories with NAMA friends. So let’s all get together and show off our accomplishments from the past year. We will keep these “presentations” short and simple, 3-5 minutes each. If you do not feel comfortable sharing information, just come and listen.

Feel free to bring guests. Once the presentations are over we will go downstairs to the Bucketshop for some drinks. For questions or to RSVP, please email Kim Maloney at [email protected].

Iowa NAMA ~ September 24
Join Iowa NAMA for the Legal Implications of Social Media from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on September 24.

Brett Trout will discuss the legal implications of social media in a digital world. Mr. Trout is a patent attorney and nationally recognized speaker on patent, trademark and internet legal issues. Over the past two decades he has drafted over 100 patents and authored 3 books on internet law and technology. He has been a featured presenter at both the BlogWorld Expo and the 140 Character Conference. Join us for a crash course in the legalities of social media.

The event will take place at the FFA Enrichment Center in Ankeny, IA. Cost is $20 per person.

Badger NAMA ~ September 30
Join Badger NAMA for a Meet & Greet reception at the World Dairy Expo from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. on September 30. The event will take place on the Expo Center Balcony at the World Dairy Expo. All NAMA members and guests are invited to attend.

Gateway NAMA ~ October 16
Combat hunger with Gateway NAMA. In support of World Food Day, the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center is hosting a community awareness program that will not only help educate St. Lousians on the importance of the world hunger issue, but also provide food packets, assembled by the volunteers, for those in need.

Gateway NAMA has volunteered our services on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 9 a.m. for a one hour food packaging session. In order to fully meet our service promise for the day we need a team of 10-12 volunteers. To help offset the costs of the food packages each volunteer has a $20 registration fee. Gateway NAMA will cover the registration fee for all members who choose to participate with the group in this volunteer service.

If you are interested in joining Gateway NAMA in giving back to those in need and taking a stab at world hunger, please RSVP to [email protected].

Northern Prairie ~ October 26
The Northern Prairie Board of Directors is planning a reorganization meeting for Tues., Oct. 26th.  They will meet at 11:30 a.m. at Basie’s Restaurant in the Ramada Plaza Suites in Fargo, ND.  Your attendance is strongly encouraged. The future of Northern Prairie NAMA depends on your input.

Discussion will include a proposed programming agenda for the coming months, member recruitment efforts, and possible changes/additions to our chapter leadership team.

Please email Dave McSparron, President, at [email protected] to RSVP.
