Badger NAMA Learns How to Build an Influential Network

Thursday, April 25, Badger members learned how to take additional steps in training clients to be their own spokespeople.  During this workshop, Jane Hillstrom, president of HillstromPR, and Samantha Baudhuin, social community specialist, detailed the steps necessary to create a spokesperson network, identified the research they used, and shared next steps for engaging networks.

They detailed how the agency worked with its client, the United Dairy Industry of Michigan, to create the Michigan Dairy News Bureau. This network of farmers, veterinarians, and health professionals is trained to act as spokespeople for Michigan’s dairy industry. Today, the Michigan Dairy News Bureau is a national leader in dairy promotion and consumer outreach.
