Nearly 30 Badger NAMA members made the trek to Green Bay to learn about the marketing of the Green Bay Packers on July 8th.

Speaker Craig Benzel, Director of Marketing and Corporate Sales for the Green Bay Packers, presented an exciting look into what goes on behind the scenes at Lambeau Field.

Benzel stressed that the message is simple, “Sport is FAN-tastic.” The overall goals of the organization are 1) stay true to the brand, 2) remain relevant and 3) build and keep a strong emotional relationship with the fans. Craig also stressed some of the key virtues of the Green Bay packers including community ownership, small town underdog spirit, glorious legacy and family. These are enforced through events such as tailgating, community outreach, Packers Bike Tradition and the Fan Hall of Fame (the only one in the NFL).

The Lambeau Field stadium tour allowed members to experience the Packers’ facility first-hand and see several behind-the-scenes areas. It was a wonderful opportunity to see sites such as the Lambeau Field Atrium, the exclusive Club Level, and the players tunnel.
