Please join Midsouth NAMA as they celebrate National Ag Day!
One of the Midsouth Chapter goals this year was to do more to celebrate National Ag Day. They know that food and fiber do not just arrive at the grocery or clothing store…or magically appear on our dinner table or in our closet so they want to do their part to recognize agriculture’s role in American life.
This month, Midsouth NAMA has the opportunity to partner with the AgriCenter Board’s Education Committee for their Ag Day luncheon. Each year, the AgriCenter Board offers area schools and students the chance to participate in an Ag Day Poster Contest. The luncheon will be a ceremony to acknowledge the winners of this contest. Parents and teachers are encouraged to attend with the winning students. In addition to this, Mayor Luttrell, some Shelby County Commissioners, Senator Mark Norris, Jai Templeton and TN Commissioner of Ag Julius Johnson have been invited to attend.
Midsouth NAMA is proud to partner as a sponsor for this event and they encourage all of their members to attend this special luncheon. It will be a great way to celebrate the agriculture industry in our region!
